Rugby

I've gone with the sporty option for this week's Sepia Saturday.
It's a rugby team complete with trophy and folded Union Flag; there's no information concerning team details/place/date/trophy/personnel or photographer.

More entries, as ever, over at Sepia Saturday.

Were they all told to cross ther arms for the picture? Great sporty photo!

Waistcoats and watchchains caught my eye as well. The trophy s quite a size.

Nice tone to the pose in this photo..the men look very determined. The crossed arms make a nice look but also add a stalwart quality to the group.

Flat caps and bowler hats. And all the players, but one (and the player holding the ball) neatly folding their arms. Nice photo!

The first player in the back row left, what is he holding in his arms?
And displaying the national flag like that, that would not be appreciated here.

Some of those guys have that "don't mess with me" look. Interesting photo.

It looks like the guy on the left of the second row isn't following instructions about how to cross his arms.

A fine fit to this weekend's theme. I suspect rugby and hurling are equally rough and tumble games too.

Only two moustaches? I wonder what position the person sitting second from the left is playing ...

What I find interesting is how "modern" so many the fellows look. Often you look at a photo and the people look of their time. Sometimes one or two faces jump out that look as if they could easily be from our time. Perhaps it's the lack of mustaches.

A formidable looking team. Obviously champs. It's interesting how only one fellow is looking off, away from the camera.

Look at all of them with their folded arms and I like the black knee socks. You also have at least four men with hats!
