Jolly boating weather

We're on the water with Sepia Saturday this week.
The image is another page from my Edwardian photograph album and features the same cast of characters as before; this time they're boating on Derwent Water in the Lake District.

More messing about in boats over at Sepia Saturday.

Wonderful! One of my most favorite things to do- be on the water and view Sepia Saturday posts! It's a win-win!

I believe we are looking at two rowing boats here. And at four giant lady's hats. But what a very nice picture!

They seem to be more on the rocks than on the water.

That photo looks so similar to the one in my post. It's the same type of boat. Maybe they were very popular back then and great photo ops.
Lovely post.

I can't imagine wearing that kind of hat in a boat. The one on the right looks more like a lampshade.

Lovely photo and a great selection of spectacular hats as a bonus! :-) Jo

Been there; but not in a boat - or so long ago. Fine collection of hats.

A lovely picture. Good reflections in the water too.

Oh those women's hats! What fun!

A cool photo with that timeless quality that might be any era. The ladies do not look happy. I was drawn to the netting over two hats. Protection against the midges?

I love these old Edwardian photographs - very atmospheric.
