Creative use of cotton wool

It's Saturday again; here's my take on this week's Sepia Saturday.

June 1931 cast photograph from Goole Secondary School's annual school play. The play performed that year was Sheridan's The Rivals and that's my mum, Amy, sitting on the right aged 17. Money was tight in those days, many of the costumes were improvised and yes, the "powdered wigs" were fashioned from cotton wool. I don't know why my mum's scowling...
