Put the dinner in
One of those weird finds where the image has absolutely no connection with the message on the reverse.

Hats and flowers
There's a wedding theme this week at Sepia Saturday; this wedding group features lovely hats, elaborate flowers and a slightly bored-looking bridegroom.
Cabinet card by W. Myles Garner, 40 London Rd, London S.E.

Unknown family group
Many of the photographs I've posted recently are of complete unknowns and there's no way to identify who the people were or when and where they lived. This image portrays such a lovely family that it's a shame there's no information on the reverse.

Is this Mr Lee?
This is an odd one - a carte de visite by a Danish photographer that has an English name and address on the reverse. A search for anyone with that name on census returns for that area drew a blank, but I did find out that Stroat House still exists and it's a Grade II listed building.

Man, dog and canary
When I saw one of this week's Sepia Saturday prompts, an old man with a dog, I knew I had the perfect photograph to illustrate it.
I love this image - it's one of the first postcard portraits I collected and it's in really nice condition apart from a faded strip across the bottom edge which includes the handwritten caption. As far as I can tell, the caption reads The S(?) House, Mersea. The photographer is named as Austin & Son, Photographic View Publishers, Bognor.

Out in India
Here's another football photograph for this week's sporting Sepia Saturday.
This one's from a battered army photograph album belonging to a Private Clark who served in the Middlesex Regiment. The photographs date from 1907 to 1912 and were taken in India, South China and Singapore.
Written above the photograph: "A" Company, 3rd Middlesex Regiment. Winners Football, 1912, Lebong, India. Photograph by Thomas Paar, Darjeeling.
